Australian International School Malaysia

Australian International School Malaysia (AISM), located in Kuala Lumpur is a vibrant and growing Pre-school to Pre-university (3 to 18 years old) international school with 650 students represented by over 40 different nationalities. The school is staffed predominantly by teachers with experience teaching in Australia or internationally and is a part of the Taylor's Education Group, one of the largest private education groups in Malaysia with 20,000 students across a university, college and five schools.

AISM is the first certified Visible Learning School in the World. Visible Learning has influenced teaching practices for many years in schools across Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia and United States. As a Visible Learning School, our students and teachers share a common language of learning. As a result, our students are adaptable and effective communicators, collaborators and creative thinkers.

Why AISM?

Explore, Extend & Excel at the Australian International School Malaysia

We provide a rich curriculum that allows all students to Explore, Extend and Excel in all areas of personal and academic development. The school reflects the Australian education philosophy of educating the whole child in an international  environment.  Whilst great emphasis is placed on the academic program, the physical, emotional, spiritual and social dimensions of development are seen as crucial elements of our teaching.

Sport and Performing Arts play an important role in a student's life at the Australian International School Malaysia. The school is a member of the International Schools Athletic Conference (ISAC) and provides competing opportunities for high achievers in various sporting events.

Students are encouraged to be involved in the Arts in both the After School Activities program and the school's Instrumental Music academy. Students perform and engage in different activities throughout the year including annual school productions, cultural assemblies, music orchestra, band and choir groups.

Australian Academic Staff

90% of AISM teachers are Australian or Australian trained.

In addition to exhibiting typical Australian attitudes of fairness, friendship, egalitarianism and openness, our staff foster a learning atmosphere that encourages creativity, confidence and caters for individual differences.
